A very fine gilt bronze and crystal chandelier. Underneath the top canopy is a distribution box ( prolonged underneath by a shaft ) issuing three hooks, hanging from the hooks are chains ending in three identical six light “cage” chandeliers. The whole fixture is ornated by crystal “tear drop” shaped pendalogues. Originally for candles, now electrified. A very unusual fixture.
France, circa 1880.
